B2B Billing Summary and Management Reporting System

Ly 0

Business-to-Business bill data was fragmented and difficult to interpret. Finance needed billing accuracy, Sales and Marketing needed client-level insights, and Management needed high-level performance views, yet everyone worked from different files and formats.

What I did

1. Consolidated raw billing data into a single, structured master table.
2. Designed clean data schema that could be filtered and reshaped per department.
3. Built summary views for different reports without duplicating the data.
4. Enable custom reporting per audience while maintaining one source of data.

Tools I Used

1. Advance Excel (structured tables, pivot logic, validations)
2. Data normalization techniques.
3. Custom summary and reporting views.

Result

1. One clear and trusted summary.
2. Faster billing validation and issue tracking for Finance
3. Better client and revenue visibility for Marketing
4. Management-ready reports without rework or manual consolidation.

Best for

1. Enterprises and big companies handling bulk data.
2. Multi-department usage (Finance, Marketing, Management).

How I Worked

1. Observed the real process because I am on the ground with the people doing the process. Not the organization chart.
2. Identified the revenue, controls, and people risks.
3. Simplified the system for easy customization.
4. Built the tools that teams will actually use.
5. Measured impact of the tools and refined it.
