Does being a female sometimes makes you feel less? Don’t. Read and watch the following films.
1. Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil girl
This 2020 Indian biographical film of an air force officer proves that being a female does come with unimaginable adversities. Her life proves that hindrance and support may both come from the same circle of people you’re closest to. Life curbs do not also stop just because you have high hopes. But who does not gain anything without pain?
Directed by Sharan Sharma
Produced by Karan Johar, Zee Studios, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta
Stars: Janhvi Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Angad Bedi, Manav Vij, Ayesha Raza Mishra, Vineet Kumar Singh
Trivia: Kargil war was a conflict between India and Pakistan.

2. Anna
Anna is a 2019 action-thriller adult film. It features the conflict between KGB (translates to the Committee for State Security) and CIA (Central Intelligence Agency). Okay, both intelligence agencies deal with espionage.
Many would say a woman has its advantages. Would you say the same thing if being one qualifies you to stage a big murder scheme? Will you do it in exchange for your freedom? And what if the promise of freedom is a big sham? After years of using beauty, strength, and skill as a fearless government spy, Anna (Sasha Luss) questioned her identity.
Trivia: Anna used the matryoshka doll to represent herself as a woman with many faces. A matryoshka doll “symbolizes the importance of a mother in the family and the respect given to her.”[1]

3. Raazi
Imagine trading your marriage relationship for the sake of your country. Will you agree? This 2018 Indian spy-thriller film features the life of a woman during the Indian-Pakistan war. The clash between two countries led Sehmat Khan (Alia Bhatt) to take after her Indian father in the road of espionage. She married Iqbal Syed (Vicky Kaushal) of a Pakistan family to pass on information from north to south.
The intelligence business sounds grand but the tension it carries is also not small. These led Sehmat to realize that murder by her hand is not a joke. Many lives are at stake. These include her husband and hers.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar
Produced by Vineet Jain, Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta
Trivia: Three dots and a dash [ . . . – ] in Morse code is V. This also symbolize victory in World War II.
