Where to stay in Taipei City on a budget

Fun-Inn Taipei

Few minutes walk from Ximen Station, not far from the famous Ximending Youth District, and close to shops where traditional Taiwanese foods are. Glad I found a budget-friendly hostel where everything was accessible.

Hot and cold shower, fast internet, clean bed, helpful receptionists and spacious lounge for meeting new friends or just to relax tired feet. All of this was a package in Fun-inn Taipei hostel.

TWD 340 = PHP 618.81 for one night
TWD = PHP 1.98

I booked the hostel through hostelworld.com and got a discounted rate. I stayed for 4 nights and had to pay part of the amount for the whole stay as a booking confirmation. Then, I paid the remaining balance when I got to Taipei.

Facilities

It was thrilling to travel solo. Why not? Y.O.L.O., right? This was not a problem even when the room I got into was a co-ed room with 6 dorm beds. The bed was comfortable. The whole bunk includes a socket for charging electronic devices and a switch for the bunk light. It was more like the hippy Circle Hostel in the north of the Philippines but just a little bumped up because the room was air-conditioned and they have RFID card for the cabinet and door access. Truly, a modern hostel.

The place was good for meeting people travelling on a budget but to be honest, I rarely got the time to stay inside. I was always on the go! (Excited ang lola mo e!) The hostel may not be luxurious but everything I needed was met.
