Benefits of Using a Debt Consolidation Excel Template
If you have multiple credit cards, personal loans, housing loans, business obligations from microfinance companies, or even money borrowed from relatives, keeping track of everything can quickly become overwhelming. That’s why I created this Debt Consolidation Excel Template. This is a practical tool designed to help Filipino families organize their financial commitments in one place.
Whether you’re newly married, raising children, supporting extended family, or working toward becoming debt-free, this helps you see where you are today and plan where you want to be tomorrow.
What is a Debt Consolidation Excel Template?
A debt consolidation excel template is an organized Microsoft Excel workbook that brings all of your financial obligations together into one easy-to-understand view. Instead of checking multiple bank apps, billing statements, or handwritten notes, you can monitor your financial commitments in a single Excel file. This gives you a clearer understanding of your cash flow and helps you make better financial decisions for your household.
The goal isn’t to eliminate debt overnight. The goal is to stay informed of how much your next month obligation is, annual obligation and even how long you will have to pay the debt to stay consistent, and make progress one payment at a time.

Questions The Decision Board Answers
• How much debt do I need to pay next month?
• Which loan costs me the most?
• When will my debts end based on a specific credit institution?
• Can I start saving for retirement?
• Is my emergency fund enough?
• Which debt should I prioritize?
Are the answers to these questions important to you? If your answer is yes, please read on.
How does it work?
1. Debt Monthly & Yearly Preview

• Your total monthly debt commitments
• Your estimated annual debt payments
• Whether your current income comfortably supports your financial obligations
• How your debt changes over time
It’s a simple starting point for families who want greater visibility into their finances.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. Why use Excel instead of a budgeting app?
Many budgeting apps focus on tracking daily expenses, but they often have limited flexibility when it comes to managing multiple loans, credit cards, and long-term financial planning.
With Excel, you own your data and can customize it to fit your household needs. You can see your monthly and annual debt commitments, organize debts by category, monitor payment schedules, and plan for retirement. That is all in one workbook. There are no monthly subscriptions, and your information stays on your computer unless you choose to share it.
Can this template track multiple credit cards?
Yes. You can enter as many credit cards as you need, along with their monthly payments, balances, due dates, and repayment periods. The dashboard automatically consolidates your information so you can see your total monthly obligation instead of checking each credit card separately.
Does it work for housing loans?
Yes. The template can track housing loans, home mortgages, Pag-IBIG housing loans, bank home loans, and other installment loans. Simply enter the loan details, payment amount, start date, and end date, and the dashboard will include them in your monthly and annual summaries.
Can I use this for business loans?
Yes. The workbook is suitable for small business owners, freelancers, and self-employed individuals who want to monitor both personal and business debt in one place. You can categorize obligations separately for example:
• Personal Loans
• Business Loans
• Vehicle Loans
• Credit Cards
• Family Borrowings
This makes it easier to understand where your financial commitments come from.
Does it work in Microsoft 365?
Yes. This version is designed and tested for Microsoft Excel 365 and uses modern Excel features such as Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, and dynamic formulas. Some features may not work correctly in older versions of Excel that do not support these functions.
Can I customize the workbook?
Yes. The Premium version is designed to be flexible. You can:
• Add your own loan categories
• Add additional banks or lending institutions
• Modify debt categories
• Personalize the workbook with your name or branding
• Update formulas and layouts to match your household’s needs
If you need a more advanced version, I also offer custom-built Excel dashboards for households, freelancers, and businesses.
Is the Free Version enough?
It depends on your needs. The Free Version is ideal if you simply want to organize your debts and understand your monthly and annual financial commitments. It’s a great starting point for:
• Individuals managing a few loans
• Families beginning their budgeting journey
• Anyone who wants a clearer picture of their debt
The Premium Version is designed for those who want deeper financial insights. In addition to the core features, it includes OTHER debt analysis, retirement fund projections, an emergency fund tracker, lifetime updates, and email support. The template is also one of the many personal finance collection that you can have access to.
If your goal is not only to record your debts but also to make better financial decisions for your household, the Premium version provides the additional tools to help you plan with greater confidence.
Is my financial information shared with anyone?
No. Your workbook is stored locally on your computer. Your financial information is not collected, uploaded, or shared with me unless you choose to send your file for customization or support. I sign a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before any project starts.
Can I add more loans in the future?
Yes. The workbook is designed to grow with your needs. Simply add new debt entries, and the summaries and dashboard will update accordingly.
Can I use this even if I’m not good at Excel?
Yes. No advanced Excel knowledge is required. Simply enter your loan information in the “data entry” sheet, and the dashboard automatically updates the summaries and reports.
Is this only for families?
No. While it was created with Filipino households in mind, the workbook is also useful for:
• Single professionals
• Newly married couples
• Freelancers
• Small business owners
• Anyone managing multiple financial obligations
Why did you create this template?
I originally built this dashboard for my own family because my husband and I wanted one place to understand our loans, monthly obligations, and long-term financial goals. What started as a personal solution became a tool that I hope will help other Filipino families gain clarity and confidence in managing their finances.

A Personal Note
This workbook wasn’t created for clients first, it was created for my own family. My husband and I wanted a better way to understand our finances without relying on multiple statements and spreadsheets. We needed a clear picture of our debt, monthly obligations, and long-term goals in one place.
Building this dashboard gave us more than organized numbers. It gave us clarity, encouraged more meaningful financial conversations, and helped us make decisions with greater confidence.
Every family’s financial journey is different. My hope is that this workbook becomes a practical tool that helps you make informed decisions, reduce financial stress, and work steadily toward your own goals.
