The thought of leaving city jungle led us to Tignoan, Real Quezon. Snake roads, awesome scenery from up the mountain and beautiful wind mills welcomed us. Here’s a quick guide to help you plan your trip.
Travel (3-4 hours by private car)
Using Google Maps, we set to Real Quezon. The roads were steep and dangerous. Somehow, the road signs were abundant. Good thing!
Accommodation
The Pacific Recreation Kamp, The PaRK
The PaRK, Hwy 601, Km 115, Bgy Tignoan, Real, 4335 Quezon Province
The Kamp was totally affordable. Good for camping with friends and family.
Note: Rest rooms were not posh but they had some improvements when we went on January 2019. Water, though, was abundant. And a “former police tanod”, according to himself, guard the place.

Food
For breakfast, fast foods in Tanay, Rizal and small local restaurants along the road were available on the way to Real. Some offer Batangas lomi and lugaw. I am fond of eating local food just to try things but so far I have not found any yet to go back to.
Wet market was available less than five (5) minutes drive from The PaRK. Seafood were Real-ly fresh and cheap. I was amazed! We brought portable cook set and enjoyed ourselves cooking. “Silog”(meal of fried rice (SInangag in Tagalog) and egg (itLOG in Tagalog) paired with sausage or slice of pork was offered too at the inside store of The PaRK.
Things to do and places to go
Photo Galore and Surfing
There were wind mills on the way to Real just like in Ilocos. We once joked about it because one of the mills’s blade was not spinning and we said, “yeah, that one got lazy spinning today. Huh!”. We enjoyed looking at them. The mills were gated and guarded so we decided to just take photos from afar.
Sea Food trip
Food means happiness. Real, Quezon was number one in my seafood trip. I kept telling my friends to go to Real when they want sea food. Why not? Fresh, inexpensive, and I get to buy it first hand. Yey!
Road Trip
Blue seems like all over the place. Blue sky, blue ocean. And yeap, my blue rush guard. Wow!
Beach Bum and Falls Hopping
Balagbag Falls : We paid 20 pesos for the admission fee. The falls was less than 5min from the main road. Very easy to find.
Nonok Falls: This was just up the road from Balagbag. Signs can’t be missed.
